Hello Mire 04:25
Hello mire, you thick black fight Lay it out, set it down Strike me dead if I’m wrong Let me know the cost of taking my own head Fire flying I can’t take a break to fight Fire flooding out my taste to know a lie All’s not lost, if you call it crossed All we are is second lines that make the first look straight Fire flying I can’t take a break to fight Fire flooding out my taste to know a lie Fire flying I can’t take a break to fight Fire flooding out my taste to know what’s right Father if you hear me please Take my breath and bind my knees Because I’m staring at the tallest trees Darker than the night I fight Louder than my honest pleas Drinking all I have to bleed These days they are hungry things Surrender them to find release

I will try, but I can’t follow you out No I won’t follow you out It's coming close, these waters know my name The dams that I have made Fury it speaks with a swollen tongue tied But hollower storms have still yet to subside They’re calling to fallen to stay behind Swiftly now, we’re flying all around The shatter and the sound So feign your might, breathe past all the doubts The wall that crumbles down Fury it speaks with a swollen tongue tied Hollower storms have still yet to subside They’re calling to fallen to stay behind I’m going back Back to where we started I’ll find you there Calling all my brothers

Backroads 05:04
Heavy loads I’ve been taking a backroad laying low But all my faults Are coming loose in the back seat So buckle in We’re a long way from the main road I’ve got the bends From going too deep in my skin The winding roads Are cradling my path around the edge But I’m on fire Burning at both ends to find my way again How long until I’m gone? Until I’ve reached beyond your tries? Keep me where I have been I don’t want to lose my mind Head first Tripping over the tracks, I’m on my way To your arms Faithful and steadfast embrace But the gun sounds Hits behind my head to call my name back How long until I’m there? Until I’ve reached the other side? To know that I won’t break To know that I’m all right Find me now, stepping out on hollow ground Here I am, making my way to hallowed ground How long until I’m there? Until I’ve reached the other side? To know that I won’t break To know that I’m all right

Fall in Line 04:12
I’m stepping back to fall in line You’re calling me out for the second time But if you ever wanted I’d be there for another try But I’m stepping back to fall in line With all of the pollen in your eyes Feeding the lies that make you blind I’m clearing the ground, I won’t be held by all these vines I’m burning down to mark my ground But I go to come back I go to come back I go to come back around I’ve fallen asleep with a second bride I was given the two and a climbing tide A torrent so strong I feel its grip inside my spine It’s the softest gold, but a wave goodbye

Overflow 04:11
Tell my love I won’t be back for a little while I’ve gone to sleep off all my days With all we have I don’t go off to be alone the faith is in harbor if I’ll just wait But I won’t call it sacrifice For all that I give I have received The cup and the overflow There is a hungry door I’ve closed to open again Where ghosts have come to taunt my eyes But freedom sings above the noise in the afterglow And rivers spring in these dry lands But I won’t call it sacrifice For all that I have was given to me The cup and the overflow

Doubt 03:48
When I go back Back to where it all went wrong Bringing on the rain and the darkening skies I believe in doubt, believing it’s on its way out But she’s calling out my name just to see where I’ve been But I’ve seen your face And I’ve known the taste Of tempering the iron from the ore And I’ve run the race But I’ve run in vain Blaming the one begging to stay I’m focusing on you, You’re sobering my highest thoughts Ringing out the devils in my head But what do I look like? What do I feel like? The shake in my hand and the stare in my eyes? But I’ve seen your face And I’ve known the taste Of what you did to pay for my way out And I’ve run the race But I’ve run in vain Blaming the one begging to stay

Dakota 03:08
It’s a long long way to go to leave it The petrichor is our world gone With sea above and sky below us Set it off, set it off Are you a light that can’t be defeated? Horizon aiming to deceive… You’re pulling the moon out of your pocket Put it in front so I can’t see

Birthmark 04:44
I am a wounded eye, can’t look back to see Standing at going I am the shore as it falls to rise Honest no longer, blacked out and gone to night Sailing passed breakers I won’t be back in time Falling asleep at the wheel I’m gonna be just fine But we are not alone, no I’ve seen the shadows on the stone Creeping out from the sun that splits the night I’m breaking at your love All that I’ve come to know, go on and cross it out Sunrise somewhere bleeding colors that won’t go out Honest no longer, blacked out and gone to night Sailing passed breakers, I won’t be back in time Falling asleep at the wheel I’m gonna be just fine Because we are not alone, no I’ve seen the shadows on the stone Creeping out from the sun that splits the night I’m breaking at Your love

about

Overflow was discovered in the place between gratitude and grief, between being and becoming, between the going and the gone. These songs are the marriage of conflicting realities trying to make a home in the same space, content without a victor or conclusion.

Recorded and re-recorded and re-recorded in various bedrooms, studios, laundry rooms, and cabins Caleb Killian's debut release has been nearly three years in the making.
